This is the initial set-up of the King’s Indian Defence.
and this is the mainline after 4 moves.
Here, I have gathered 15 games in chronological order (from 2011 to 2020) that Hikaru Nakamura played King’s Indian Defence. Mostly as black, and a few as white. He did that with good success. He is considered a master of the King’s Indian Defence. Note how he exploits the super-closed centre games as black and he attacks on the king side.
First line includes the date, opponents, rating and result. Second line is the lichess.org link to the full game.
After those 13 games, I also included 4 extra games between Karpov and Kasparov, again on the King’s Indian Defence. Kasparov is also a master of this opening.
Enjoy!
